I have suffered
with chronic pain (fibromyalgia) for the past 17 years.
I was told I had to live with it. After so many years of
pain, regardless of what I did, I started to believe it,
until my chiropractor recommend taking up kettlebells.
I was currently doing weight training in the gym and a
lot of walking, but wasn’t making much progress.
My legs and arms constantly felt weak, I felt fatigued
and had a significant amount of pain. When I turned 40,
I made the best decision of my life. I took up kettlebells
and hired Andrea to personally train me. Andrea not only
offered me meticulous training in proper technique, form
and safety but also helped me believe that I could live
a better life without so much pain if I stuck with it… at
my own pace. Knowing that it does not take much to set
off the fibromyalgia pain, Andrea took special care to
stress the importance of not working to fatigue, working
at my own pace and making sure my form was precise. In
addition to her considerable knowledge on kettlebells,
anatomy, and physiology, she gave me recommendations on
nutrition, stretching and motivation. She is patient and
does a nice job of explaining techniques and how to fire
the right muscles. Andrea has given me more than kettlebell
instruction. She has given me both physical and spiritual
strength and excellent tools to continue my workouts safely
at home. I especially like the Kettlebell Goddess DVD,
jam packed with effective workouts. It is inspiration and
instruction all in one!
It has been two years since I started using kettlebells. I feel significantly
stronger; less fatigued and actually have definition! The level of
health and flexibility I have restored is unbelievable! I highly recommend
kettlebells, but more importantly doing them correctly and safely.
